This all metal can will last years and years, unlike those cheap plastic cans.

10L is roughly 2.5 Gallons.

The hinged lid will not fall of, it locks in the upright position when open so it won't fall down into the gas as you pour. A thick rubber seal keeps this can from leaking and it is replaceable.

This heavy duty metal Jerry can will keep you on the trail for a LONG time. Holds 2.5 Gallons and unlike those cheapo cans it does not leak.

Secures in your cargo bed using the provided bracket. Horizontal and vertical 1" inch straps with 350lb rated buckle will keep this bad boy right where you put it on the roughest trails.

Requires drilling, bolts are supplied.

This is identical to the models used by NATO forces to contain their auxiliary fuel except that this can features the locking pin on the cap to prevent the cap from opening inadvertently and the can is red in color to meet DOT regulations for gasoline containers.

PLEASE Keep this in mind. Gasoline physically expands when heated. That means that a gallon of gas at a high temperature takes more room than a gallon of gas at a lower temperature. These cans are designed with a space in the top to accomodate this expansion. You can see that the opening is physically lower than the top of the container. When you fill the can up to the opening, basically full when sitting level, it will expand and rise into the cavity at the top of the can when heated. It is suppose to do that.

BUT PLEASE BE AWARE that if you open the can sitting level after the gas has heated and expanded that you could spill gasoline. The can is pysically fuller at a higher temperature. So either resist filling the can completely full, or tip it backsward so the opening is the highest point on the can when you open it. Just remember that you might have more gas in the can than you thought you put in there.
